The lifejacket has arrived!

My lifejacket arrived yesterday and I've been wearing it around the house a little. This is a picture of when Mommy first put it on me. I wasn't too sure about it at first but it's really not that bad. Daddy likes it because it has handles and he can lift me up.
I'm really starting to like my kayak. Mommy and Daddy say "kayak" and I jump right in because they give me lots of treats when I'm in there! Last night I found an ice cube on the ground (I LOVE ice cubes thanks to Grammy Pam) and I jumped right into my kayak so I could eat it in there.
Daddy says that our first adventure out will probably be at Sunshine Cove where we will paddle a very short distance to a little island where I can run around and explore. I'm almost ready for lots of great adventures in my little kayak!

The start of my kayaking adventure!

Mommy and Daddy have been trying to think of a way to take me kayaking and camping with them this summer. They searched all around town to find the perfect boat just for me. They had a hard time because the kayaks were too big and they worried that my paws would puncture an inflatable boat. Mommy even searched the internet for mini-kayaks, doggy boats and children's kayaks. 

One day they were driving home and saw a kayak sitting outside of the new sporting-goods consignment store. Mommy and Daddy went to look at the kayak and found that there was a second one for 50% off. It was light, short and PERFECT for me! 

 Mommy and Daddy bought it and brought it home for me. They brought it up to the living room so I could get used to it. They put my blankie in there and fed me dinner in it. I wasn't too sure about it at first but every time I'd go in there they'd give me treats. It took me awhile to get used to it but now I really like it. Mommy and Daddy say that we're going to start out slowly and put it in the water just for a little bit. I don't really like the ocean but Mommy and Daddy are so excited to go camping with me that I think it'll be ok.

I'm pretty excited to join Mommy and Daddy on their summer adventures and will definitely be blogging about them for you!

Tuckered out

It's the day after Thanksgiving and I am tuckered out. Mommy and daddy took Me out to the Black Friday sales. I got treats from the coffee lady. Later on daddy bought me lots of treats and toys from Petco. It was a good day but I'm ready for a nap.

These are my crazy friends....

This summer I went for a walk with these two crazy dogs. Mommy thought I had a lot of energy when I was a pup but she had never met TWO labs before! THEY ARE CRAZY!!!!! Aunt Molly had to go into the water when Diesel spotted ducks swimming near by. We thought Diesel was going to eat the baby ducks but luckily he got tired and swam back to shore. Molly was NOT happy.
Molly is done doggy-sitting Diesel and next week I get to go live with her for a few days! I'm so excited!!! Aunt Molly always takes really good care of me and while I miss mommy and daddy I always look forward to spending time with her. Uncle Bob isn't in town right now so I'll have to make sure Aunt Molly stays warm at night and has a snuggle buddy. I'm really good at both of those things.

My first time in Tenakee!

I've been really busy over the last couple of weeks and have been having SO many adventures! As you know I spent last week with Aunt Molly and Uncle Bob. They loved me and spoiled me like crazy. I always have fun with them.
When I got home daddy and grandpa left for Las Vegas. I sure did miss them but mommy took me for a lot of walks with my new friend Ruby. Ruby is a pup and she has A LOT of energy. She's fun to play with but sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with her.
On Friday mommy woke me up early and told me we were taking the ferry to Tenakee. Mommy goes there a lot but I had never been. She said there would be lots of doggies to play with and so many new scents for me to sniff.
I didn't really like having to ride on the ferry but I LOVED Tenakee. Mommy took me down to the beach so I could sniff and there were lots of great smells (just like she promised!). She and Aunt Stephie took me berry picking one day and I explored the woods. I was really good not to wander too far away from them because I know mommy doesn't like that.
It was pretty hot while I was there so mommy and I laid out on the porch and soaked up the sun. I really liked Tenakee and hope I get to go back soon!

Back with the Fish people

This week mommy went to Anchorage to visit my cousins.  While she is gone, daddy is refinishing our floors, so I am hanging out with Aunt Molly and Uncle Bob.  It's been pretty fun so far.  I've been posing for pictures, and getting lots of love.

They have this lady named Marlys staying with them.  She tried not to like me, but lets face it, I am too adorable to not love.  Today she cleaned up my poop, feed me and covered me up with a blanky.  I've got her right where I want her.

On Sunday Aunt Molly, Uncle Bob and I went out to False Outer Point.  Uncle Bob fished and Aunt Molly and I cooked hot dogs over the fire.  I snuggled up on Aunt Molly's lap and we took a little nap.

Uncle Bob and I also get some quiet time together.  We snuggle up and watch some tv.  When we got home on Sunday, I knew Uncle Bob had some yummy pig ears in his pocket.  Aunt Molly said they were for when they have to leave me for a bit each day, but Uncle Bob couldn't resist, he had to give me one.  They are so good, I love that guy.

I do like spending some time with Aunt Molly and Uncle Bob, but I miss my parents oh, so much.  Can't wait to be home with them and Linus. 

Summer time fun!

It's been great having mommy & daddy home for the summer. We've been having some type of adventure every day! Last week mommy & daddy did a lot of work at the trailer so I got to run around the yard. I LOVE the yard at the trailer. The grass is so fun to play in and there are lots of great smells. 

Last night mommy & daddy took me to Lena Pt. and we had a fire. I sniffed around and played on the beach for hours! Then I curled up in mommy's lap while she read by the fire. 

Mommy told me that on Sunday I'm going to Aunt Molly's house while she is in Anchorage and daddy works on the floors. I'll be sad to leave them but I'll have soooo much fun with Aunt Molly! She takes me on lots of adventures and gives me treats when I do tricks! 

It's been a great summer so far! 

Hello world! I'm back!!!

It's been forever since I've blogged by this summer I'm going to try much harder to keep the world updated! We've been having a great summer so far! Mommy and daddy take me out for walks every night even though it's been pretty rainy here lately. I've also been getting to go over to the trailer where there is a nice grass yard and I RUN, RUN, RUN!!! It's so much fun! 

I've learned a few new tricks recently and am hoping daddy will record me so that I can put it on my blog. I want to show the world what I've been up to lately! 

Mommy and daddy have been tricking me with my treats lately. They put regular ol' dog food in my treat bowl but I'm still pretty excited to get food after I go outside to pee. 

Next month I get to stay with Aunt Molly for a little while. Mommy is going to Anchorage and daddy is fixing our floors. I can't wait to go live with Aunt Molly! She always spoils me and takes me fun places.

Snugglin', I mean "Hangin'" with Uncle Bob

Dear mommy and daddy,

Today Aunt Molly had an appointment, so Uncle Bob and I spent some quality time together.  Aunt Molly called it snuggling, but Uncle Bob insisted that we were hangin' out together.  We went out the road and I got to run around.  I stayed pretty close to Uncle Bob so he let me roam.  It was cold, rainy and windy, but I played for a while.  Then Uncle Bob started a fire, but I was too cold, so I ran to the truck, whined a little and then we headed home. 

Uncle Bob made something called a prime rib roast for him and Aunt Molly.  All I know about it is they gave me the bone and it was de-lious!  I acted a bit crazy about it, but what can I say, it was so good!

Friday Night with Aunt Molly and Uncle Bob

Dear mommy and daddy,

Aunt Molly told me you made it to Anchorage, I was really happy to hear that.  I wish I could have visited my cousins too, but I am having a fine time visiting with my Aunt & Uncle.  Tonight Aunt Molly and I went for a walk.  Douglas Highway was a bit busy and it freaked me out a little, but Aunt Molly talked to me the entire way home, that made me feel better.

When we got home I ran around the place like a crazy man.  You can run circles around their place, it's pretty fun.  I even jumped over Aunt Molly a couple of times, cuz she was in the path.  After that I was pretty tuckered out.

I went and found my "old spot".  Last time I was here I sat up here behind Steven, Aunt Molly has pictures or Steven and I.

Aunt Molly made me take this picture.   I know I am cute, but I really don't know if I can handle having my picture taken so much.

When Uncle Bob got home we all cuddled on the couch for a while, then called it a night.  I miss you.

All spruced up for my weekend with Aunt Molly....

Wahoooo!!!!! Tomorrow my parents leave for Anchorage and I'll be staying with Aunt Molly. Aunt Molly has lots of fun stuff planned for us! I'm sure we'll get to snuggle on the couch, go for walks and play at Sandy Beach.

On Saturday I get to spend the whole day with Uncle Bob and then on Tuesday I'm going to meet a friend of Mommy and Aunt Molly's and have a play date with her and her kids. I am going to be one worn out puppy when Mommy comes home. I'm soooo excited!!!

Instructions for Aunt Molly

Dear Aunt Molly,
I can't wait to come live with you for a few days! Mommy said I should write to you and remind you what I like and tell you all about my routines. I've been a little bit of a punk at home so Mommy hopes I'm good for you and Uncle Bob.

*Please feed me a little scoop of dry food in the morning and a scoop of dry food mixed with wet food at night. (Feel free to have Uncle Bob drop food on the kitchen floor while cooking. :-) )
*When I come inside from going potty I get a little treat. You can also tell me "door" and I'll close the door behind us ;-)
* Mommy will bring my kennel and you can put me in there whenever you need to. I haven't been in there for a while so I might whine but just ignore me.


If I think of anything else I'll be sure to write you again.

I'm exhausted!!!

Holy doggy bones!!! Mommy took me snowshoeing today AND night sledding! I don't see very well at night so I was really confused at first. There were people going down a big hill on plastic and I wasn't sure if they wanted me to chase them or if I needed to run away from them. A few of them almost ran me over and I had to run my fastest to stay out of their way. After I got used to it I had a lot of fun but boy am I tired!!!!

snowshoeing adventure!

Today mommy and aunty Stephie took me out snowshoeing. I'd been cooped up indoors all weekend so I was happy to get outside!!! It was my first time at Montana Creek Trail and I liked it way better than Salmon Creek Dam (that's where we went snowshoeing last time). Mommy says this winter is looking like a good winter for snow. I hope she takes me out a lot during Christmas break!!! I love snowshoeing!

~For now I'm a healthy pup who no longer has to wear his cone!

Healing quite nicely!

It's been about a week since I had my surgery and I have to say....I'm healing quite nicely! I've had to wear my cone around A LOT but today mommy took it off and I left my stitches alone! It was so nice to have that thing off my neck! I've been laying pretty low lately but today I had a ton of energy so mommy and daddy took me for a long drive, a sunny walk and then mommy chased me at the field while daddy worked in his classroom.

Mommy told me yesterday that she messed up on the dates and it's actually  THURSDAY that I get my stitches out! I'm so excited to be done with this cone forever!!! Thanks for all the concern from my human and doggy friends!

My first surgery

  I've had a growth on my leg for a few months and it just keeps getting bigger. It wasn't hurting but Mommy and Daddy were worried about it and my skin was starting to look red and stretched. Mommy scheduled my surgery and on Thursday morning they took me to the vet. I was pretty whiney when I went there but the doctors took really good care of me.
My vet was nice and he called mommy during my surgery to tell her that I was doing well but they'd found another lump in my tummy. He removed both lumps, cleaned my teeth and trimmed my nails. When I woke up he gave me lots of pets and a little treat to eat. Mommy came to pick me up and listened to the vet tell her about my surgery. He said the lump on my leg looked weird and he wanted to have it checked to make sure it wasn't cancerous. Mommy and daddy will get the results soon. 

Mommy and Daddy laugh everytime they look at me and my cone. They say I look ridiculous and they find it hilarious whenever I bump into thing. They told me they'd take off this stupid cone if I promised not to chew my leg. It's so nice having this thing off! I havent been chewing my leg but when they go to work they put this darn cone back on. I can't wait to get these stitches out....two weeks to go....the countdown is on.

I'm glad you find me amusing.....

I've been licking my paw a lot lately. I don't know why...it just itches so I lick it. BUT, I've licked it so much there's some skin coming off and now mommy's all worried about me. When mommy starts to worry about me daddy always does something to fix me so that she feels better. His latest solution to my paw problem was to tie a piece of rag around my paw and tape it up.
This solved the problem but it makes me walk funny. Mommy and daddy thought my walk was HILARIOUS and they laughed soooo hard. In fact, I can't remember the last time I heard mommy laugh for so long. Aunt Molly came over and mommy made me walk over to her just so the two of them could giggle about my funny walk. I'm glad they all find this so amusing but all I want to do is lick my paw. Sometimes these humans drive me CRAZY!!!! Woof Woof!

I miss Aunt Molly

So, I've been a real slacker about blogging. It seems I've gotten lazy lately but am determined to turn over a new leaf. I'm going to take more pictures, spend more time blogging and EXERCISE!!!!

Daddy took me to the vet on Friday (I'm ok, just a little fatty growth thing on my leg that will eventually have to be removed but all is good right now) and the Vet said I was FAT!!! Now, there was a time when Mommy and Daddy would've gotten mad and defended me by reminding the Vet that I am part BEAGLE!!! But, I have put on a few extra and Mommy and Daddy are always getting after Grandpa about giving me treats (oooooh, I LOOOOOVE grandpa!!!)

 I've been put on a pretty strict diet and mommy and daddy have been giving me a walk almost every night. I have to stay on my leash because Mommy read somewhere that I get more of a workout that way.

I wish Aunt Molly was in town so she could take me down to Sandy Beach where I could run free and sniff all the other dogs! Hurry home Aunt Molly!

An afternoon at the beach

Today my Aunt Molly stopped by to take me to the beach.  She finally had some time to spend with me, boy that other "Dog" sure does keep her busy.  First she took me to her house and while she ate lunch I found a few treats for me under her coach.  Then we walked to Sandy Beach.  There were lots of dogs with their people.  I got a little whiney because I wanted to play with all of them.

 I did get to a little, but boy do those big dogs like to sniff me and sometimes it freaks me out and Aunt Molly too!  So Aunt Molly and I laid in the sand, I did a little digging and we just enjoyed the view.

Afterwards she took me home and I bolted out of the truck and started sniffin' like a crazy dog.  I had fun at the beach, but it sure is nice to be back home with my Grandpa Terry.

PS Daddy, win us some money so you can buy me lots of doggy treats!  I am all out!!!
