I miss Aunt Molly

So, I've been a real slacker about blogging. It seems I've gotten lazy lately but am determined to turn over a new leaf. I'm going to take more pictures, spend more time blogging and EXERCISE!!!!

Daddy took me to the vet on Friday (I'm ok, just a little fatty growth thing on my leg that will eventually have to be removed but all is good right now) and the Vet said I was FAT!!! Now, there was a time when Mommy and Daddy would've gotten mad and defended me by reminding the Vet that I am part BEAGLE!!! But, I have put on a few extra and Mommy and Daddy are always getting after Grandpa about giving me treats (oooooh, I LOOOOOVE grandpa!!!)

 I've been put on a pretty strict diet and mommy and daddy have been giving me a walk almost every night. I have to stay on my leash because Mommy read somewhere that I get more of a workout that way.

I wish Aunt Molly was in town so she could take me down to Sandy Beach where I could run free and sniff all the other dogs! Hurry home Aunt Molly!

An afternoon at the beach

Today my Aunt Molly stopped by to take me to the beach.  She finally had some time to spend with me, boy that other "Dog" sure does keep her busy.  First she took me to her house and while she ate lunch I found a few treats for me under her coach.  Then we walked to Sandy Beach.  There were lots of dogs with their people.  I got a little whiney because I wanted to play with all of them.

 I did get to a little, but boy do those big dogs like to sniff me and sometimes it freaks me out and Aunt Molly too!  So Aunt Molly and I laid in the sand, I did a little digging and we just enjoyed the view.

Afterwards she took me home and I bolted out of the truck and started sniffin' like a crazy dog.  I had fun at the beach, but it sure is nice to be back home with my Grandpa Terry.

PS Daddy, win us some money so you can buy me lots of doggy treats!  I am all out!!!

Door

I learned a new trick!!! Mommy and Daddy have been teaching me how to close the door. Their hope is that after I go potty I'll be able to close the door behind me. It took me a little while to figure it out but I'm starting to get it. Tonight I went potty and closed the door all by myself while mommy and daddy were sitting on the couch. I got a really big treat afterwards and soooo many loves. It's so fun to learn new tricks!
I also got to see aunt Molly tonight. That was pretty fun, I love seing aunt Molly ;-)

Wow, I haven't written since CHRISTMAS?????!!!!!! A big apology to all my loyal readers (hahaha, all two of you!). Let me tell you what's been going on in my life since Christmas time....
*EATING!! MMMM, I love food and grandpa knows it! He gives me little treats all day long and I love love love them!
*Sleeping. I sleep a lot during the day. I finally have someone to put my sleepy spells on during the day while mommy & daddy are at work.
*Playing...I've been playing with Chicken-bird a lot. I ripped open my latest Chicken-bird so mommy had to do surgery on him. Thank goodness for ducktape!

hmmmm, that's about it! This dog's life is pretty sweet right now!

I love this thing called Christmas!

Whatever this Christmas thing is that humans celebrate I sure do love it! On Christmas Eve my Aunt Molly came over and gave me a present. It was a PIG SNOUT and boy was it delicious! It tasted so crispy and delicious I couldn't help but wolf it right down! I feel bad because I know she wanted to pet and love on me but all I could think about was eating that snout! Ahhh, thank you Molly!

Later that night my family opened their presents and I opened mine. Mommy & Daddy bought me a new Chicken Bird because I've destroyed my other ones. Chicken Bird is the best toy ever invented! I love it!

Later that night mommy took me for a walk at Twin Lakes. I hadn't been out for awhile so it was fun to run and play. There wasn't anyone else on the trail so mommy let me off my leash and I ran so fast in the snow!!!

I also got lots of yummy treats to eat...Baby Chance sent me a big ol' bag of yummie chummies but mommy won't let me open them until I finish my jerkey treats. I really do love this Christmas thing!

This is the life

After the crazy month my mommy and daddy have had it was really nice to just snuggle on the couch with daddy. Today is only Day One of their vacation so I'm hoping for lots more snuggle time soon.

thank goodness for my nanny

My parents have been MIA this week. They leave early in the morning and don't come home until late at night. Thank goodness someone is there to feed me dinner at night (although, he forgets to give me wet food and all I get is the dry stuff!!!) and let me out to go potty. They promise that this week will be much better and after this week they'll be home ALL day with me for the next two weeks! I can't wait for that! Mommy promises lots of walks and maybe even a snowshoeing adventure. That will be GREAT! Until then I'm just lucky I have a nanny to watch me. Maybe my Aunt Molly will be able to go for a walk or hike with me too??? What do you think Aunt Molly???
